This post isn't as much about fashion as it is about me mucking around with my camera. I'm still learning about angles and lighting and found this random spot of sunlight at the top of the stairs, which made some interesting effects. Also just had my hair done and I feel like a brand new person! Hope you guys like it!
ps: more fashion tomorrow! hope you're enjoying your weekend!

The utter greyness outside inspired me today to celebrate the simplicity of black and white. My best friend (and ridiculously stylish man) has always preached the advantages of having a purely monochrome wardrobe- always chic, everything goes etc. and in truth I have listened (most of the time!). I also feel like lazing around on grey days, so I chose loose comfy clothes for this post. I also have started experimenting with bright lips-what do you guys think?

Today is apparently the last sunny day for a while, so HAD to shoot outside. You might remember the head scarf from a few posts back, which I've discovered is brilliant at holding greasy hair back! Enjoy the sun guys!

Just included a few things which I'll be adding to my wardrobe soon (and others won't be in my wardrobe for a LONG time, but a girl can dream :)). I loved this spiderweb necklace from Asos and imagine it over a nude tank dress or t shirt. This one will make an appearance sometime soon! The tiered maxi dress from J crew is pure summer outside dining luxury. This one falls a little outside my budget, but hopefully the highstreet will do a version! Speaking of overpriced, has anyone checked out the new Kate Moss for Topshop collection. Some of the pieces are covetable (the suede shorts come to mind) but why is it so expensive? let me know what you guys think!

There's something about checked shirts and denim that goes together perfectly. I bought this shirt a few years back and haven't looked back since, so you'll probably see it more in future posts. Also...drum roll please...summer's finally here!! Means lots of sundresses and skin..can't wait!

Don't you love it when you find the perfect top-slash-dress in a vintage store? It is quite big, but I figured the sparkles more than make up for it! Also am back in tights now...:(......summer just doesn't seem to be happening this year! lol! Thanks so much for your brilliant comments! I'm very new to this and appreciate the support!

Went to see the Boy and my sis this weekend and had a really relaxing time. It's nice to have weekends with minimal drama and time with loved ones. My sis took these shots in a park near her house and the last one was taken in Cardiff bay. Such a great vibe when the sun comes out. :) what did you guys get up to?

I came across these pics on Garance Dore's website and HAD to post about Diane Kruger's style. She is her own stylist (an absolute rarity in the celeb world) and never puts a foot wrong. She understands clothes and her own personl style, so she always looks relaxed and confident.
ps: am in cardiff this weekend, but will post on sunday!

I wanted to share a few special pieces with you which you'll probably see in future posts. Like lots of women, I'm a bit obsessed with Chanel, so had to include my perfume collection (scents are like accessories)and my treasured 2.55 classic bag. Those who know me know that I rarely leave the house without multiple animal-themed bracelets and my large black Asos stone ring. The skull ring is Alexander Mcqueen and only comes out for special occaisions! What can't you guys live without?

I found this scarf under the rubble of a Topshop sale (for those of you who have ever braved it, you KNOW what I'm talking about!)and love how it looks vintage and adds a nautical feel to my outfit. I picked some of favourite pieces (shoes, of course!)for this post, so you'll probably see them again in the future!

I'm a strong believer that you can't know where you're going until you know where you've been. I love YSL's aesthetic and bought this book as an insight into the creative process and strongly recommend it if you're interested in textiles or designing. I had to include Rachel Zoe's tome since, like it or not, she did change how we all dressed and is responsible for leggings becoming mainstream. My little guilty pleasure is Lauren Conrad's sophmore book, which is trashy, girly and addictive! If you liked the Hills (go on, admit it!) then you'll like this!
What are you guys reading?

I received these shoes today in the post and am in LOVE! As every girl knows, shoes are an integral part to every outfit and can make or break a look.these clogs are perfect and the slingback means that I won't fall out of them! The Navaho-inspired pair are from Mango andI love the tassles and fringe. Such a cool, laid back vibe for summer! I'll be posting outfit pics soon here so stay tuned!
